class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, 53 per cent of the graduating cohort achieved an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) over 80 (that is, in the top 20 per cent in NSW). In 2020, this figure was 60 per cent and in 2019, it was 58 per cent. Our students across both credentials have managed to achieve at very high levels in a large variety of subjects, which points to the excellence of our passionate and dedicated teaching staff, who go to extraordinary lengths to ensure students have every opportunity to excel and reach their potential. Since 2016, all Year 7-10 students undertake the MYP. Around 30 per cent of our Year 11-12 students (around 50 students) choose to study the IBDP. In 2021, the average ATAR of the top 10 per cent of IB Diploma students was a historic high of 99.75 and the average ATAR for the top 50 per cent was a stunning 97.3. It was also the first year featuring two students with a perfect Diploma score of 45 out of 45, which equated to an ATAR of 99.95.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Higher School Certificate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, around 60 per cent of our Year 11 students choose to study the NSW Higher School Certificate as their graduate credential in Year 12. The 2021 Year 12 cohort performed strongly in the HSC: the average ATAR for the top 10 per cent of HSC students was 96 and the average ATAR for the top 50 per cent was an impressive 86.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reporting&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>St Andrew\u2019s Cathedral School has four formal methods of reporting on student progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>They are:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>The Interim Report<\/em> \u2013 issued towards the end of Terms 1 and 3 for students in Years 7 to 10. This provides a general overview of student work habits.<\/li><li><em>Academic Reports<\/em> \u2013 provide a comprehensive summary of student progress. These are issued towards the end of Terms 2 and 4 for Years 7 to 10, Year 11 in Terms 2 and 3. Year 12 students receive these reports towards the end of Terms 1 and 3.&nbsp;<\/li><li><em>Parent\/Teacher interviews<\/em> \u2013 held at various times throughout the year for each year level \u2013 provide an opportunity for parents to meet with individual teachers to discuss their child\u2019s progress.<\/li><li><em>Weekly Parent Digest<\/em> \u2013 emailed to students and their parents every Friday afternoon and gives a brief summary of student progress and involvement.
